The Engineering Department provides design and construction management services for the University’s many construction and renovation projects. The department also works in conjunction with outside professional consultants.
The Department is involved in each phase of a project, from initial department request, estimating, design, construction and final inspection.
The Engineering Department provides design services in the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Civil and Architectural.
The staff is also responsible for overseeing environmental issues such as asbestos abatement, indoor air quality, soil erosion and control, and stormwater management.
The Engineering Department's drafting division provides full drafting services utilizing computer aided drafting, digital photography, photo-editing and rendering as well as campus mapping. The drafting staff also maintains all record construction drawings.
Underground utility locating services are provided to protect the many systems on campus.
