A. Confidential materials are disposed of in locking recyclable containers which are available upon request. For more information visit the Recyclable Materials page.

Q. Can I bring in trash from home?
A. JMU Recycling is not staffed and does not have the resources to accept personal, non-recyclable trash.

Q. Does JMU generate revenue for recycling?
A. Yes, products are sold at market value and revenue is deposited in the budget to further recycling efforts at JMU.

Q. Am I permitted to climb into a dumpster to retrieve items?
A. For safety purposes, no one is permitted to retrieve items from dumpsters on campus. Thank you for your cooperation.
