Attention JMU Community!

Do you have mercury-containing thermometers that you no longer use, but are unsure of how to dispose of them?

Well we now have a solution for you!

JMU's Housekeeping and Recycling is sponsoring the first ever Mercury Thermometer Round-up.

What: Intact Mercury containing thermometers which have been placed in a plastic bag or other type of secondary containment. Please make sure the Mercury is intact and not leaking or loose. The mercury has to be contained.

When: Tuesday November 24th from 9:00AM- 11:00AM.

Where: Shed behind the housekeeping trailer, in the USB parking lot on West Grace St.

By bringing us your Mercury thermometers you can ensure they are properly disposed of and therefore do not end up in the landfill.
